The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is the city’s most popular museum. Here one can learn about Colorado’s natural wonders, as well as other science trivia about the Earth and the universe. Wings Over the Rockies is a 1938 aircraft hangar that is now home to the dozens of civilian and military aircraft that has flown through the state over the years. Forney Museum of Transportation, on the other hand, houses historical vehicles of all kinds, including a Union Pacific ‘Big Boy’ Steam Locomotive, the Denver & Rio Grande Dining Car, among others.
