What You Might Want to Know About Kids Before Having One

Parenting is not always about rainbows and butterflies. Most of the time, you need to deal with dirty nappies or spilled milk. Before you decide to have a baby boy or girl, prepare yourself for the following challenges.

Kids Have No Sense of Cleanliness

Mischiefs like poop and vomit will be a regular. Dealing with this can be extremely annoying at first, but you’ll get used to it eventually. One funny yet gross thing about them is they eat their boogers. Other than training your child, make sure that the child care centre you choose has sets of drills that will reinforce your teaching about manners and cleanliness.

Kids Won’t Make You Sleep

Kids, in general, are hyperactive and stay awake so long as there’s a fun thing going on. Their sleeping pattern is unpredictable so don’t wonder if you find yourself awake in the middle of the night.

Kids Don’t Know How to Lie

“You’re fat,” “You smell yucky,” or “Your friend’s ugly”—these may be some of the words you will hear from your child once he can talk and understand. Kids are brutally honest. They’re just that, and that makes them good to be with.

Kids are kids. Despite these annoyances, they’re all worth it. You will never understand how much you love someone until you have kids and do something for them, like bringing them to Disneyland or sending them to a good child care and learning centre.
